Zendaya showed, yet again, why she’s one of fashion’s biggest stars when she arrived in Paris for Louis Vuitton’s new display during Paris Fashion Week. Zendaya was a Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear show on October 6 with creative director Nicolas Ghesquire’s presentation of his newest collection to the Cour Carre in the Louvre. The show was the culmination of Paris Fashion Week’s official calendar and was a futurist show that softened luxury dressing.
Based on her appearance, she donned a white Louis Vuitton lace jacket and ruffled accents over basic white ribbed top and blue jeans. She finished the style with pointed white shoes, contrasting casual denim and formal-looking couturess-appropriate basin layer. The one-off usage of this lace jacket was the highlight of her attire because she wore the same jacket at the Paris Premiere of the Odyssey earlier this year.
Instead of echoing the earlier going-around Still Zendaya and stylist Law Roach turnedto give the item a whole new character. While the initialrelease styling made the jacket merely match a farmore formal look, the Paris Show Style pair with jeans left the delicate lace and ruffles, allowing them to be seen in a more casual, modern light. The choice also accentuated how stars are employing outfit repeating and creative restyling more.
Zendaya’s time to shine was set against a stellar front row at Louis Vuitton. Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan, Lisa from Blackpink, Sophie Turner and Catherine Deneuve were also at the show. Now a Louis Vuitton ambassador, Zendaya has built herself up to attend the label’s most coveted runway presentations, so all eyes were on her to steal the show.
Even Louis Vuitton’s own collection went futuristic, with fluid dresses and fabrics, sheer details and relaxed tailoring. The presentation of the collection was powered by concept cars floating above the runway in a stunning installation. Silhouettes and fabrics were interpreted in ways that responded to a warmer world, showcasing lighter linen-based materials.
Chanel also appeared to be one of the most memorable moments of the last few days in Paris. Designer Matthieu Blazy showed off his Spring/Summer 2027 collection at the Grand Palais for Chanel, giving the classic Chanel codes a contemporary edge. His line was focused on a new kind of stretchable ‘smocked tweed, ‘ allowing fashion’s favorite suit to feel closer to sportswear while still feeling like Chanel.
Among those attending the show were stars like Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa and Pedro Pascal, improving a fashion extravaganza already ripe with star power. The show itself was inspired by the idea of freedom and movement, was inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s career, which challenged stiff clothing for women.
Combined, both the Louis Vuitton and paired Chanel shows in Paris indicated a new trend, with designers added a new dynamic to move into the new season. All of them exploring comfort, lighter builds and dynamic movement while also focusing on extreme and confident silhouettes and defining luxury symbols.
